Human Trafficking: The Spectrum of Exploitation

After many requests and much anticipation, Brock HRE is re-launching the Human Trafficking workshop! This year’s workshop, Human Trafficking: The Spectrum of Exploitation, was designed specifically for Brock Staff, TA’s, and Faculty to learn about how human trafficking affects Brock students, how to watch for signs of trafficking among students, and intervention and support options for students who are being trafficked. We also unpack the layers and differences between sex work, exploitation, and trafficking, and explore the nuances of how these elements affect students from marginalized communities. The workshop takes place in two parts:

  1. 1.5-hour online module learning component.
  2. 1.5-hour interactive MS Teams seminar. There will be two MS Teams seminar dates available for attendees to register for: Thursday, May 20, 12:00-1:30pm, and Wednesday, May 26, 1:00-2:30pm.
