This is a Niagara District CUPE Council [NDCC] meeting. All CUPE locals in Niagara can elect delegates to represent them in this CUPE Niagara central. We have elected two delegates for the annual duration of office (May 1  – April 30), even though by number of members we qualify for sending six delegates. The greater involvement, the greater input, the better output, the better for workers = us 🙂 We need more members to become delegates!
The delegates meet monthly and report on their own local matters, introduce new or share common concerns and successes to build strong, knowledgeable and networked CUPE locals.  NDCC organizes activities such as union educational workshops (steward learning, labour law, equity training, etc).
