Normally we conduct elections for all positions every April at an Annual General Meeting.
Due to the pandemic regulations, the local did not hold our annual general elections as it is mandated by our bylaws. We have sought permission form CUPE National to postpone the annual elections while we were looking for a safe electronic voting platform, and also for the academic year to start as we do not have many members working in the Spring and Summer terms.
We got permission and an order to conduct our elections by October 2020.
