Communication Committee

The Communication Committee is responsible for writing and preparing the annual Fall Newsletter for the membership. The newsletter is usually distributed every September and is a work-in-progress over the summer months. It is important to stay in touch with the membership and inform our members of events, news and their rights as TAs, marker-graders, course coordinators, lab demonstrators, part-time instructors and ESL instructors.

We also play an active role in deciding which workshops are offered to the membership for professional development. We are committed to improving ourselves and our workplace through participation in educational workshops that are offered frequently throughout the year.

If you have a talent for writing or would like to contribute artistically or aesthetically to the newsletter, please contact Tracy Kennedy (our Membership Outreach Officer). Our membership is rich and diverse, and we want to hear about the interesting and innovative things that you do and create!

If you are interested in training and professional development, you can email Tracy to inquire about opportunities or recommend workshops and professional development opportunities that you’d like to see here at Brock. What do you want to know? What do you need to know? Are you a member that has useful skills and abilities that can be shared with others? Let us know!

ALL MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING ARE WELCOME!
