Unit 3 Bargaining

Unit 3 – Instructors working in ESL Services

The Unit 3 Collective Agreement expires in July 2020.  At our October 2019 general meeting we have elected Unit 3 bargaining team:

Jakob Chapman – member at large
Andrew Franklin – part-time members
Miaco Kuzyk-Hildebrand – full time members
Jannelle Yoon – previous bargaining team member
Phil Wachel, President, ex officio, non-voting

Employers’ bargaining team:

Danielle McCrindle (HR)
Marissa Marinaccio (HR)
Geoffrey Harrington Eden (ESL Services)

On April 7, 2020 U3 BC served the employer with Notice to Bargain.

On September 21, 2020, U3 members held a Strike Mandate Vote meeting, where they gave unanimous, 100%, support to their Bargaining Committee to call a strike, should circumstances in negotiations come to that point where reaching a *fair* contract for the instructors, becomes impossible.

End of January/February – Memorandum of agreement was signed (tentative agreement reached).

February 11, 2021 – Unit 3 has ratified the U3/Brock C.A.
March 4, 2021 — The Employer has ratified and that concludes this round of collective bargaining.
