Injured Worker’s Day

This year marks 40 years of honouring workers who have been made sick or injured on the job. Nobody goes to work expecting to be injured. We also acknowledge the mental fatigue and stress that work can cause.

Every worker has the right to refuse unsafe work and to be informed of potential workplace hazards. For our members, workplace safety also includes protection from excessive workloads and unrealistic deadlines.

Fighting for safe and healthy workplaces is what unions have always done. Consider attending the Health and Safety Committee at 4207, make sure to report any workplace issues, and learn more through CUPE Ontario.
