Equity Committee

The Equity Committee is a group of members who advocate for CUPE members who are from equity-seeking groups (women, Indigenous, pink triangle, disability, racialized workers, and young workers). Committee members will be involved in communication, education, and events and will work to support the diversity of our members at Brock University and within our community.

If you have an idea for an event or campaign or would like to partner on a project, please contact the Equity Officer (equity@cupe4207.org).

Indigenous Subcommittee

In the summer of 2023, Indigenous communities indicated that it is time to move beyond one-offs & once-a-year token events, and work towards building relationships and making a commitment to Truth and Reconciliation. This year we decided to commit to supporting Indigenous people. In September 2024 we will start the Indigenous Committee to include all CUPE 4207 members who wish to join.
